What makes our wagyu so special

What makes Rocky Forge Farm American Wagyu so special?

We are a local sustainable farm focusing on quality rather than quantity. We are a true a farm to table farm bringing Premium American Wagyu to you. Our process brings together the high-quality genetics of our registered full blooded wagyu bull bred to angus cows resulting in American Wagyu.

Our process utilizes high quality genetics selected for marbling and tenderness paired with research-based feeding schedules maximizing the natural ability of the American Wagyu to develop marbling at an early age. We maximize our cattle’s ability to develop marbling by introducing them to creep feeders during that critical 60-day period for developing intramuscular fat cells. We continue to supplement the forage with high quality feeds to maximize the marbling potential.

We farm our land with sustainable practices to produce high quality forage. Additionally, our daily routine focusses low stress handling proven to increase tenderness.

At Rocky Forge Farm we utilize superior genetics, sustainable farming practices, research based feeding, our high quality forage and dedicated daily routine to produce Premium American Wagyu for your special culinary experience!

What People are saying about our wagyu

Rocky Forge Farm sure does produce some high quality beef! The steaks all have tremendous marbling and the cuts are tender and delicious!

Andrew G.

The most tender and juiciest steaks I’ve ever ate!

Sherman B.

Best NY Strip I have ever grilled! Woa!!! So flavorful and moist. So many strips are dry and stringy, not yours. Never had one that good.

Dan

We tried the hamburger and it makes a great cheeseburger . Really lean and not greasy. I also made a homemade meatloaf out of it . It didn’t shrink up like the greasy regular hamburger you buy at the grocery store. Great meats!

Health Benefits

Did you know Wagyu is the best marbling breed in the world? Wagyu are genetically predisposed for accumulating high levels of intramuscular fat (IMF) and producing high levels of marbling. IMF increases when feed time is increased. Highly marbled Wagyu beef have higher ratios of monounsaturated fatty acids due to higher concentrations of oleic acid.

The high concentration of oleic acid decreases the bad LDL cholesterol while increasing the good HDL (heart healthy) cholesterol. Wagyu superior genetics gives the meat a higher percentage of omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids than other beef. This makes Wagyu beef one of the healthiest cuts of meat you eat!
